Degrasse has one of the more simplest views on human and alien relations. Probably for tv sensationalism.

Yeah. Can't go too deep with most of the human population.

Although I don't see much real space exploration (travel) with our current technology.

Maybe the plan of the universe is see but don't go there. That's assuming we are really seeing reality. I am of the thought that simulation might be more realistic.
