Conservative

"Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect..."

Classic conservatism. Wanting businesses to have the right to refuse service when it's something conservatives want like not making gay cakes, but that exact same right being used to refuse service over something they don't want, like mask compliance, is suddenly oppression

MettaLettas

We have never, as a country, figured out what to do about the large amount of Americans who aren't educated enough to see through propaganda, and propaganda itself isn't illegal, so here we are. I would argue this is why so many educated, rich men have demonized education and science as "liberal." They need to keep their base as uneducated as possible. If their followers started truly thinking for themselves, those men would lose all of their voters.

"There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge."

--Isaac Asimov
