Or he could wait until he's older and transplate some of the hair that will start to grow out of his ears.

That ear hair thing is really weird, by the way. I guess when you've reached a certain age you have heard more than enough crap from people over the years, and then your body creates it's own defence by slowly clogging up the ears.
