General: U.S. may consider troops in Libya

Post by Egg » Fri Apr 08, 2011 1:57 am

The United States may consider sending troops into Libya with a possible international ground force that could aid the rebels, according to the general who led the military mission until NATO took over.
Army Gen. Carter Ham also told lawmakers Thursday that added American participation would not be ideal, and ground troops could erode the international coalition and make it more difficult to get Arab support for operations in Libya.
Ham said the operation was largely stalemated now and was more likely to remain that way since America has transferred control to NATO.

He makes me laugh but he's also quite often right in his assessment.

Time to bring back the Rat Patrol.

The show follows the exploits of four (three American and one British) Allied soldiers who are part of a long-range desert patrol group in the North African campaign during World War II. Their mission: "to attack, harass and wreak havoc on Field Marshal Rommel's vaunted Afrika Korps".

He really is. He's at his best when wearing his scarf, though. :D

The guys full of panache! He makes me smile every time.

I've got to hand it to him, though. He's the one doom and gloom guy who talks about a wide variety of topics AND gets more than 1/2 of them right.

Could you imagine him in the leather jacket and the scarf!!! You know the shit's gonna hit the fan then! :D

It worked for Jesse Ventura. If Celente wore one with a muscle shirt, he'd be my hero
