You mean the far side. Sometimes the side we see is dark, sometimes the far side is lit.

And it wasn't Egg..... it was a friend of mine, he actually told me when we were on our fishing trip a while back looking at the stars and the moon.

True, but it is not the dark side of the moon. It is the far side.Someone told me we only ever see one side of the moon because the way it rotates and I believed them.
