The Free Will Debate

Post by Royal » Thu Jul 25, 2019 4:35 am

A radio program had guests discussing the background of arguments involving free will.
Free will defined on Wikipedia as: ...the ability to choose between different possible courses of action unimpeded. Free will is closely linked to the concepts of responsibility, praise, guilt, sin, and other judgements which apply only to actions that are freely chosen.

The main question being, are we free to make decisions on our own, or is this all subject to outside forces?

I was thinking, doesn't the act of debating free will answer the question?

If there was no ounce of free will, than why would it ponder something that shouldn't exist?

What are your thoughts? Write five paragraphs: one introductory paragraph, three body paragraphs with support and development, and. one concluding paragraph.

Then everything in sci-fi must be true since man discussed it. Imagination.

Some dude said "science fiction is a story that hasn't happened yet".

I say, How much of our reality will we escape to obtain one will more free will. What will be reality when we have the option to choose it.

I feel like I should smoke a victory cigar after coming up with that.

It may be outside the realm of our understanding.
